It’s been so long since I’ve posted that I’m almost embarrassed to write at all. But, this is just how life is right now. I’m kind of ok with it. I have different focus points at different times of the year. Also, we moved and moving is hard. My oldest daughter is a senior this year and I am drinking in the time with her that I can get. My baby is a freshman in high school this year. And I’m doing all the “mom things” I can fit in. I just want to have these moments to remember, you know? These are special days and I love my girls and this stage of our lives so much. And I am so grateful for our new home.
I went through a weird phase few months where I didn’t feel like reading. I wanted to want to read. But it just wasn’t there. I’m not sure why. Maybe because so much of my reading is for someone else (church library) that it took some of the joy out of it. Regardless, it’s coming back again and I’m relieved! It was kind of like I was missing part of myself without my books, so it’s nice to have that coming back.
I do have some reading to catch up on and I can’t wait to tell you about those books in the coming months. Some of my very favorite authors have published this summer or are about to this fall and I know you will want to read some of their books.
I will have a few books to give away coming up too.
Here’s some books I’m reading and can’t wait to tell you about!
The Undoing of Saint Silvanus by Beth Moore (her first fiction book!)
Death Draws Near by Carrie Stuart Parks
The Long Journey to Jake Palmer by James Rubart
There Will be Stars by Billy Coffey
The Wedding Shop by Rachel Hauck
The Witnesses by Robert Whitlow
Newton and Polly by Jody Hedlund
How are you guys? Anyone reading anything good?
